Custom & Bespoke Castings Australia

Not every job starts with a standard part off the shelf. Whether you need a fully custom-designed component, a short prototype run, or a replacement for something that's no longer made, A&G Price builds it to your exact requirements — engineered from your drawing, your specification, or, if that's all you've got, a worn physical sample.

It's a common request for legacy machinery and equipment that's no longer supported by the original manufacturer, but it covers just as much new and original work: one-off prototypes, low-volume production runs, and fully bespoke components designed for a job nothing else on the market quite fits. If the part you need doesn't exist yet — or doesn't exist any more — this is where it gets built.

What Is Custom & Bespoke Casting?

Custom and bespoke casting covers any job that falls outside a standard production part — a component designed from scratch for a specific application, a small prototype or trial batch, or a replacement built from a worn sample rather than a drawing. What ties it together is that it's built around your requirement, not a catalogue spec.

For legacy and obsolete parts specifically, we reverse-engineer directly from a worn or broken physical sample: our team measures and models the existing part, rebuilds it as a 3D CAD file, and works with you to correct for wear or improve on the original design before a new pattern is made.

Why Choose A&G Price for Custom & Bespoke Castings

Send us the broken or worn original and our Foundry Methods engineers will measure and model it directly, correcting for wear and rebuilding it as an accurate 3D CAD file — no original drawings required.

A single replacement part is a normal job for us, not an exception. We take on genuine one-off castings as readily as production runs.

If the equipment is old, discontinued, or the original manufacturer no longer exists, we can still produce a working replacement — matched to the original's fit, function, and material properties.

Testing a new design or need a small batch before committing to full production? We handle prototype and low-volume castings without the lead times or minimum-order constraints of a production foundry.

Our Reverse Engineering Process

  • Sample or Drawing Intake— Send us the worn part, a photo, or whatever documentation you have. No original drawings needed.

  • Measurement & Modelling— We measure the sample and rebuild it as a 3D CAD model, correcting for wear and confirming critical dimensions with you.

  • Review & Refinement— We talk through any design improvements — material, tolerances, or strength — before committing to a pattern.

  • Pattern, Casting & Finishing — Once the design is confirmed, the part follows our standard casting process through to heat treatment, testing, and machining if required.

  • Delivery— Your replacement or prototype part is delivered ready to install, with certification available on request.
